Here, you can laze
away the days relaxing on a silken sand beach or snorkeling
in crystal-clear lagoons-those giant, underwater aquariums
where tropical fish swim up and eat out of your hand. As for
the nights, they have their own romance, some supplied by
you, some by the brilliant diamond-studded skies of the
Southern Cross.
There's
so much to see and do here... shark feeding excursions,
scuba diving, beaching, hiking, four-wheeling across lush
valleys crisscrossed by waterfalls. If you're into fine
cuisine, Tahiti is truly a culinary experience, with resorts
offering a fine blend of French-style cooking and
island-fresh ingredients.

Tahiti is only 7-1/2 hours non-stop flying time from Los
Angeles. French Polynesia lies in the South Pacific between Australia
and North America. It is in the same time zone as Hawaii and is about
the same distance below the equator as Hawaii is above it.
